The advantages over painted and engraved panels. As opposed to panels that are painted and then silk-screened on the front surface, AccuSeal panels protect the printed image from abrasion and solvents because the image is printed on the back surface of the graphic layer. When bonded to a subpanel or enclosure the graphic image is then completely sealed from both front and back sides. This distinguishes them from conventional painted and screened panels where the image can be worn off by abrasion or solvents. The advantages of AccuSeal over etched and engraved panels is that the graphic image is flush to the surface. This allows for an easy quick wipe cleaning and does not allow dirt and oil to get trapped in the image. Engraved panels allow dirt and grease to settle into the image and making it difficult to clean.
A variety of thickness' can be achieved using different polycarbonate thickness' (.005,.007,.010.&.015") bonded to various aluminum subpanel thickness' (.020,.032,.050,.062,.080,.093,.100,.125,.156,&.188"). Thicker panels are available by using multiple aluminum layers. Multiple layered panels can be selectively punched; creating pockets, counter bores and blind holes that usually need to be machined.
