October 20, 2008

Looking for immediate solutions to tough diecutting or foil stamping/embossing challenges? Converters of paper, paperboard, corrugated, plastics, laminates, rubber, composites, leather, and more will find results at the 2009 IADD·FSEA Odyssey, May 6-8, 2009, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga., U.S.A. Sponsored by the International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking (IADD) and the Foil Stamping & Embossing Association (FSEA), the Odyssey will offer over 25 innovative technical sessions, both in the classroom and on the Techshop™ floor, designed to educate, solve challenges, and promote open discussions in a variety of converting areas. From diecutting, diemaking, and foil stamping/embossing to folding carton, corrugated, and specialty markets, attendees will discover leading technologies and practical solutions to impact profitability and productivity. In addition to the educational sessions, which will include a new management track on business strategies, Odyssey attendees will experience a 3-day trade exposition composed of over 100 industry-specific suppliers of equipment, consumables, and services.

A sampling of the 2009 line-up includes the following sessions: Analysis of Cutting Dies and Press Speeds; Makeready and Set-Up for Large Format Combination Stamping; Embossing and Diecutting in One Pass – Efficiency at High Speeds; Ask the Experts Part 1 & 2 (Soft and Hard Materials); New Foil Stamping Techniques on Press; Single-Pass Corrugated Diecutting with Embossing; Applications for Hot Stamping Foil v. Cold Foil; and much, much more! Additionally, a session on Sustainability in Packaging Design and Implementation is among just one of several Business Strategy sessions slated during the information-packed event. Diecutters, diemakers, print finishers, commercial printers with finishing operations, and anyone interested in raw materials, tools, or converting and hot stamping/embossing machinery should attend these cutting-edge programs. In addition, exciting cross-educational opportunities exist for attendees through the Odyssey’s co-location with PrintSynergy® 09, to be held in the same location.
